CPWR - The Center for Construction Research and Training recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of our visitors, as well as those who request information.

In order to fulfill government grant guidelines and track the usage of our website, we collect and store only the following information about the visit:

• The name of the domain from which visitors access the Internet, such as Google.com or cdc.gov, and IP address. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to a computer when surfing the Web.
• The date and time a visitor accesses our site and the time the visitor logs off.
• The pages that the visitor views.
• The Internet address of the website last viewed by the visitor before coming to our site.

We use this information to [1] create summary statistics so that we can determine what information is of the most interest to our visitors, [2] help us enhance the site's quality and usefulness, and [3] report site usage to the agencies that fund our organization. The information we collect will not be sold or shared with any other organization or outside party. No personal identifiers, such as an email address, are collected.

CPWR web pages use persistent "cookies" to store information about site usage. In no case does CPWR disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personal information about CPWR website visitors unless required for law enforcement or otherwise required by law. If you choose to register and save your entries in our return on investment (ROI) calculator, this is linked to a user-created username and password. Information you choose to enter into text fields as reviews, messages to "contact us", email suggestions or questions will be associated with your email to allow a response. We ask for the name and mailing information of those who wish to join our mailing list or receive a printed document. This information will not be sold or shared with any other organization or outside party.

Our website contains links to many other sites. When you link to any of these sites, you are no longer on CPWR's website and are subject to the privacy policy of the new site. We encourage you to share news or important occupational safety and health information from CPWR sites with your friends and coworkers via email, texting, Twitter, Facebook, or other social media. Once you select one of these social media sites, you are no longer on CPWR's website and are subject to the privacy policy of the new site.
